The Wise Man's Fear

So I finally finished it.  The Wise Mans Fear feels very much like the middle part of the trilogy.  In it we find Kvothe coming of age to some degree, growing up into some of the harsh realities of life, yet still plagued by his pride and obsession.

Anticipation, fear and desire

Late in 2008 I went to Bali to attend a week long regional conference on behalf of my church; Capital Vineyard Christian Fellowship.  On the way I stopped in Sydney and bought a book called The Name of the Wind.  I found it such a compelling read that I had to almost be dragged away from it to go and enjoy the conference and the beaches of Bali.  Now, after 3 years, the sequel has finally been released.
